His first trial was in 1976 in Utah. This trial was in regards of the kidnapping and assault of Carol DaRoch. Bundy was sentenced to one to fifteen years in prison after failing to successfully represent himself. In 1979, his second trial discussed the murders and assaults of Chi Omega sorority sisters and was held in Florida.
