Most people know that life comes with many stages and transitions. When children get older, they become a teenager and then transition into adulthood. This particular stage in life comes with different challenges. As people make certain transitions in there lives, they encounter adolescence, dating, and potentially teen suicide. First, adolescence is an important stage that everyone goes through. Adolescence is the stage in a person 's life when they transition from puberty to adulthood. Adolescence brings changes to an individual 's body and brain. With puberty comes changes in a person 's voice, growth spurts, and the ability to sexually reproduce. Lastly, teen suicide is a concept that needs to be understood. There are many things that can contribute to teen suicide, and a few things to prevent it. To begin, drug and alcohol use are on of the main factors of teen suicide in the United States. There is no knowing how many teens use drugs because the studies don 't include dropouts. In addition, an increase in drug and alcohol use may lead to violence. Next, social isolation as well as family environment are factors of teen suicide. In other words, having little to no contact people or society can increase the chances of teen suicide. Also, if an individual is living in a negative family environment, the chances of teen suicide may increase. Suicide is among the leading causes of death for people between the ages of 15 and 24. Females are more likely to attempt suicide compared to men. Triggering events are also factors of suicide, an example can be the loss of a scholarship. If there is suspicion that someone is considering suicide, there are a few things you can do. An individual can get a trusted adult, call a suicide hotline, or call a hospital. It is important to act just in case because I know two situations where nothing was really done, and it ended negatively.
