It seems that all of the children’s memories are tarnished. The children are not sure they can tell the difference between what they thought they had experienced and what has been shared with them. The central idea is that current events can cause a person to reexamine the past.
The book “Outsiders” in written by Malcolm Gladwell and it is about the stories of extremely successful people. In this book he discusses this thing called the 10,000 hour rule. I do not believe in the 10,000 hour rule.
In the book, The Hunger Games, one of the main events is when Katniss volunteers for her sister, Prim, to participate in the annual Hunger Games. After reading this event, I was very surprised. I noticed that Katniss surprised herself by saying she would volunteer, but then quickly recovered once she remembered that the reaping would be shown on television. “…this is upsetting me and I don’t want to cry. When they televise the replay of the reapings tonight, everyone will make note of my tears, and I’ll be marked as an easy target.

In the beginning of the book Michael was deathly afraid of heights. Michael and his friend Fritz were taking a test to become a SRD ( a level higher than the Hitler Youth).

Two weeks and a day before they went, a boy had jumped, and others said that he died or drowned. Vinny didn’t want to go to the ravine, but his friends had forced him, making him under peer pressure. Vinny and Joe-Boy have some similarities, but they are more different.
Many people underestimate the struggle and change of maturing and growing up. It can feel different and be almost like an out-of-body experience. S.E. Hinton does an exceptional job at capturing what growing up and developing is like in The Outsiders. Ponyboy Curtis, a 14 year-old that is part of the Greaser gang, is undergoing a time of development in the story, and one can really see the difficulty that Ponyboy has to endure during that process. Although Ponyboy has to go through this process, he changes significantly, and becomes different in the way he acts and lives.
In the book Renegades by Marissa Meyer, many things happen throughout the book that many will find interesting. This story follows two main characters, Adrian Everhart and Nova Artino/Mclain. In this world, there are these people who are prodigies with superpowers that they either inherit or are born with. There is also a Council that is made of the best superheroes or Renegades, all around the city that this book takes place in and the son of the top two Council members is Adrian Everhart with their leadership skills and the ability to make whatever he draws come to life. There are also villains in this world of heroes called the Anarchists and within these villains is the niece of the formerly ruler of Gatlon City during the Age of Anarchy.
Hoggle: A Character Analysis In the book Jim Henson’s the Labyrinth by A.F.H. Smith the character Hoggle goes through an extreme character evolution. Hoggle is a small, goblin-like creature who assists Sarah in her journey. He starts off as a grumpy and irritable character who later transitions into a loyal and helpful companion. As Carroll states “He is a self proclaimed coward and refuses to apologize for it.”

Around 40% of all members in gangs are teenagers, who are getting involved in some dangerous things very early in life. In the novel The Outsiders, the “Greasers” which is a gang of all teenagers, fight other gangs and commit serious crimes such as murder. We as a society need to pinpoint why teenagers join gangs and stop them beforehand. We also need to help people get out of gangs if they are already in one.
