The International Trade Commission (ITA) provided techniques that are used to protect intellectual property while U.S. businesses expand products into the global marketplace. ITA suggests that U.S. businesses conduct an IP audit that supports the company’s export marketing plan, establish business ownership, evaluate partnerships if needed, monitor the use of IP, and have an enforcement strategy (ITA, 2014). Teladoc is a well-established brand so it is not necessary now to pursue a global partnership. Teladoc will utilize its own legal, technical, and security staff to monitor the use of intellectual property while operating in the global
