In the story Tell Me Three Things the character Jessie would be a good friend to have. Jessie is the protagonist and main character of the story. While moving to a new school and adjusting to a new life, she had friends that she stuck by and supported. Jessie’s personality traits are what make her a good character to choose as a friend, she is a caring, witty, and hopeful person.
Jessie’s caring trait is shown throughout the story with Agnes, Adrianna and Scarlet. In the beginning of the story Jessie helps Scarlett with her issues even though she move away. Jessie cares about Scarlett and continues to keep in touch with scarlett through text. When Scarlett needed someone to talk to about the dance Jessie was the for her and considered her feelings. Even though Agnes and Adrianna were new friends Jessie helped give Adrianna information on someone she liked and joined in to help agnes with any problems she faced. Her thoughtfulness and ability to care for others helps show why she would be a great friend.
Being witty is one of the things that makes up most of Jessie’s personality. When Jessie would have conversations with SN it was easy for her to come up with witty comments to express herself. “PEPPERONI! Not liking pepperoni is like not liking apple pie,” Jessie quickly reacts to simple things in a conversation adding humor to everything she says.

After losing her mother and trying to adjust to a new life she always had a slight amount of hope towards something in her life. When first moving to LA she had a hard time trying to make friends at a new school but had hope towards a friendship with Adrianna.
