In¨The Tell Tale Heart¨ By Edgar Allan Poe, the narrator is a caretaker of an old man who has blue vexed eyes. He gets annoyed of it even though he likes the old man and the old man has never done anything to the narrator. But still he needs to get rid of the old blue vexed eye still. The narrator in ¨The Tell Tale Heart¨ is an ominous character; he is Intelligent, sneaky, insane. A trait the narrator displays in ¨In The Tell Tale Heart¨is Intelligence. Another trait the narrator in “The Tell Tale Heart” has is sneakiest. “And every night about, midnight, I turned the latch of the door oh so gently!”(PG 538). He snuck into the old man room every night.”You can’t imagine how stealthily,stealthily until,at length, a single dim ray, like the thread of the spider, shot from the crevice and full upon the vulture eye”(PG 540). He wanted to sneak into the old mn room slowly with a low dim lantern, waiting for the .”Upon the eighth night I was more than usually cautious in opening the door”(PG 538). The narrator wanted to get inside the old man room without waking the old man up. He is really sneaky in this part of the story. The final trait the narrator represents in “The Tell Tale Heart” is insanity. “I made up my mind to take the life of the old man and this rid myself of the eye forever”(PG 535). He killed the old man because of a vexed mind.”Here,here! Is the beating of the old man heart”(PG 542). He lost it because he kept hearing the old man heart. The heart kept getting louder and, louder until he lost it and confessed to the police.”I cut off the head and the arms and his legs”(PG 541).
