Witchcraft is the practice of black magic, especially black magic. In the movie Crucible, it talks mostly about how the witchcraft was a big problem in the town. In the beginning of the story,it showed a bunch of girls in a forest getting along, trying to play with black magic. When the whole whichcraft happened the whole town started to get attached to these rumors of witchcraft. A man named John Proctor, who once had an affair with Abigail Williams while he was married to his wife Elizabeth. The affair he had led to Abigail telling lies about not doing witchcraft. In order for that to not happen, they had to keep on doing court meetings on and on, to keep this witchcraft from occuring in their own town. In the middle of the story Abigail meet John in the woods, she started talking to him about his wife Elizabeth. She started to make him get closer to him. She spread a lie about some witchcraft being spread to other people, and why innocent people are being sentenced to death. The looks in this quote is the facial expression she had in that clip of the movie. In addition to the movie, John and Abigail weren’t really working this whole witchcraft drama. Abigail started saying very rude compliments about Elizabeth Proctor. Abigail shouted to John, saying, “with a bitter anger: “Oh, I marvel how such a strong man may let such a sickly wife be….She is blackening my name in the village! She is telling lies about me! She is a cold, sniveling woman, and you bend to her! Let her turn you like a—”. In this quote, it describes her anger, for John Proctor 's wife Elizabeth. Abigail was just trying to get rid of John 's wife Elizabeth, and try to get back into his life, however John didn’t accept her words of his own wife. She started saying negative words about his own wife, and how she is bullying her in her own town. She made a lot of intense speeches in some parts of the movie. It also explains that lies hurt people in any way. “She sends her spirit on me in church; she makes me laugh at prayer! She comes to me every night to go and drink blood! Don 't lie! (To Hale:) She comes to me while I sleep; she 's always making me dream corruptions! Sometimes I wake and find myself standing in the open doorway and not a stitch on my body! I always hear her laughing in my sleep. I hear her singing her Barbados songs and tempting me with—”. This quote represents the part of speech she is bringing to the story. This also has something to do with spreading lies as well, because she just wants to get people purposely in trouble. When Abigail said this quote, the most important thing that came up in my head, was that she was trying to defend herself by getting that African American Tituba in
