1. How did you experience the book? Were you immediately drawn into the story—or did it take a while? Did the book intrigue, amuse, disturb, alienate, irritate, or frighten you? for a while as i am not the best reader in the world it took me a long time to understand any of the concepts of the book; like as to why when the main character left the island and went away from his home that his curse that he had put on the gods displeased them so they put a cruel curse upon his so that he may never find his home and left to destitud on an island. But it was around this time that i went back and reread the beginning of the book up to this point so that i could understand what this ment and after reading the fi rst page i found myself drawn in by different words and ideas completely the same but different . i became irritated buy the gods in the story as in one moment it seems that they are insulted by this small man in comparison then they turn out to only be bored and heard his voice first and calling it entertainment to send his crew into death and to leave odysseus alive just to see him struggle. But at the same time he can show complete hatred in his very soul when it comes to something that angers him thru eye there his pride, or when going threw his confidence in his own skills. If this doesn't describe a patient, prideful human then i don't know what doesn't. But when talking of any and i mean any other person in the story you could say that they are all very two dimensional in the way they act or are portrayed as if this person is very strong that is all they are is strong and nothing more than just
