Terracotta Warriors - a sight covered with mysteries
China is a place in the world, which contains the most ancient artifacts. Terracotta Army is one of the unofficial wonders of the world. It was detected by chance by ordinary Chinese peasant in March 1974 in Xi 'an.
For more than 2200 years underground terracotta warriors guards the remains of the first Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang. Over the centuries numerous clay soldiers collapsed into pieces, but the tomb of their ruler is still saved.
This terracotta army consists of around 9000 statues of soldiers. Unfortunately, most of them didn’t preserve in the best condition. According to the legend, this army was buried in 210 BC, together with Qin Shi Huang. The largest museum of the Terracotta Warriors is located in Xi 'an.

After years of research and excavations the numbers of mysteries about terracotta warriors still remain. Qin Shi Huang left a lot of unsolved questions for the whole mankind that may remain a secret forever. Once you get here ask yourself this questions:
- How these 140 kg sculptures were burnt to make them lasting unless ovens for decrepitation haven’t been found?
- The quality of manufacturing of terracotta warriors is possible only with high industrialization. Ancient China people did not have such opportunities. Or did they?
- Notice that completely whole terracotta army was armed with bronze weapons. There were about 10000 copies of various weapons. The main mystery is that this weapon is still sharp and shiny even after 2000 years. Accordingly, metallurgy and weapons production of that time were at a very high level. But how it was possible to produce a coating of such durability. Although today there is an answer - use chrome coating. The only thing is that chrome plating method was developed in Germany in 1920, so how it could be used in ancient China?
