Tesla is a leading manufacturer of electric automobiles in the United States and other countries. It manufactures Electric Automobiles, Powertrain components for electric vehicles and Energy storage products. Tesla builds and sells two first-line electric vehicles: Model S sedan and the Model X which is a sport utility vehicle. Both has been ranked having the highest safety raking in the US (http://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-tesla-model-s-achieves-best-safety-rating-of-any-car-ever-tested-2013-8). One of the distinguishing characteristic of Tesla vehicles is, they are considered “green” compared to other normal cars as it reduces the carbon footprint on the world. Model S is a four-door electric sedan offers all-wheel drive with a driving range of 290miles on a single charge. It is one of the best electric car in the market. It’s been five years since the first mass-market electric car hit the road, but they have not lived to the estimated projections. Currently electric vehicles make a very small percentage of the overall automobile industry, but there is high possibility that it is going to grow at a faster rate than expected due to government strict regulations on CO2 emission, rising fuel prices, high fuel efficiency and soundless operation offered by electric cars.
