Some say the pollution that we cause in cars has become a major problem worldwide. They also say that the pollution we cause from travel in cars is killing the planet quite literally. According to a survey, more than 90% of people would travel 300-500 miles in a car rather than a plane. This shows that generally people use cars more than any other type of transportation which increases the necessity to make cars environmentally friendly cars like the Tesla Model S. Some say transporting in a gas vehicle causes 75% of the pollution we have on earth. Scientifically, the Tesla Model S only produce 1% of the pollution the cleanest gas car makes, and 98% less Hydrocarbons than gas cars. The release of Nitrogen Dioxide in the environment influences lung cancer, and the Model S produce 89% less Nitrogen Dioxide than a gasoline car. The greenhouse effect (also known as global warming) is directly affected by the pollutants our gas cars make. “This air pollution carries significant risks for human health and the environment.” (Kranti Mulik).
