College choices and deciding what you want to do in terms of picking your major and such can determine the rest of your life. It can be tough choosing where to go and what to do. Generally, many schools offer different programs, all with their own reputation for their programs. Personally, I have two choices in colleges, both with good programs. Those choices would be University of Texas vs. Bowling Green State University. Both Bowling Green and University of Texas are great, but Bowling Green is a better choice, and this is because it would provide more benefits going forward. Bowling Green State University has about 19,000 enrolled students as of 2016 (BGSU), which is a medium size and I believe that it is a much better fit for me. I would much rather have a smaller college for my college experience, as it would be much less overwhelming and much easier to adjust to. The University of Texas at Austin is a far bigger school than almost any school in Ohio, let alone Bowling Green. Bowling Green is significantly smaller compared to the University of Texas. The university has around 51,000 total students enrolled, graduate and undergraduate students (Facts and Figures.) This is just much too big for my liking, I really would prefer to attend a smaller school, such as Bowling Green. A lot of people go to the University of Texas, and a lot of them dorm there, just as we do in Bowling Green, but with the sheer amount of students there, there would just be no way I could be able to dorm with people I actually want. With Bowling Green dorms, you can choose who you want to dorm with and where you want to dorm, and I do not know if the same applies for the University of Texas. Texas is way too far away from my mom, but Bowling Green is much closer. I don’t know anything about Austin really. I just know that the college is there. I don’t know
