Counseling skills one opened up self-awareness, the significance of research, theoretical orientation, building confidence, and bonding with a client's emotions in a session through Text-CACREP, Discussion, and Research. Learning not to bring my beliefs or worldview onto a client, but to show empathy by using my experience that connects with the clients' experiences, thereby strengthening the relationship bond. Also, learning, before applying mindfulness techniques I must perform this practice on myself before offering it to a client (Greenberger & Padesky, 2016). To approach essential interviewing and counseling skills the following: Text-CACREP and Discussion helped me in understanding the operation of basic interviewing and counseling competencies and treatment of clients (Carkhuff, 2009; Greenberger & Padesky, 2016). I also ascertained skills to display sensitivity through awareness of the cultural difficulty that may bear upon the rapport in a curative context (Gallardo & McNeill, 2009).
