A few months ago, my great grandmother fell ill, so I thought it would be nice to drop by her house. Growing up, I spent many summers with her in that house while my parents were at work. As I entered her home, I heard a familiar song playing in the distance. While walking toward her room, I suddenly recognized a song from my childhood. She was playing "La Bohème" by Charles Aznavour. Growing up, I had heard the song a thousand times; so much so that the song became enshrined in my memory. I have a sense, listening to different performances that the instrumentation changes from of one venue to another. The tempo of the song is not constant throughout. As the song progresses, the tempo speed up slightly. The tempo start quite slow, then reaches a slightly faster point where it remains stable, and in the final 10 seconds of the video, the tempo increases dramatically with the addition of the percussion instrument. The changes in tempo can be seen on the sheet music for piano (z... Charles Aznavour - La
