The article, “Shopping Trumps Turkey”, by Gregory Karp, argues between whether or not retailers should initiate Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving day. Karp considers that retailers should not commence the sales a day earlier. I agree with the author, due to the fact that the retailers that begin the sales on Thanksgiving day are careless and greedy, along with commanding people to not spend time with their families. Clearly, retailers should not release Black Friday sales a day earlier. To start off, experts say that the saying of retailers opening because the consumers are asking them to is false.
ENG 122: 5-2 First Draft of the Critical Analysis Essay In the article “Eat Turkey, Become American,” Marie Myung-Ok Lee uses her family memories of Thanksgiving to share with her readers, with personal details and historical data, her family's migratory trajectory to the United States, and their experience living in a small town in Minnesota. The author also discusses the country's immigration system and how their Korean background affected her parents' process of obtaining citizenship. And how, despite a part of the city's population being racist and xenophobic, a group of people from the community where they lived joined forces to save a doctor from being deported. The article's main claim to illustrate the difficulties of immigration in a family is persuasive because it explores how children perceive a foreign culture, highlights the problems with the immigration system and xenophobia in the nation, and suggests ways the community can work together to help other immigrants who are experiencing a similar situation.
Meat not seasoned enough. Lean ground turkey lacks flavor compared to dark meat with higher fat content, so they need extra salt, pepper and other herbs and spices. Seasoning is particularly important when ground turkey is used to make meatballs, burgers, and meatloaf. Before cooking, season your ground turkey. For additional flavor, consider adding dried herbs and
Bootleg Pheasants The South Dakota pheasant, a treasured resource fully protected by a regulated hunting season, provisioned the pantries of law-abiding residents with savory meals. During the fall hunt, shotgun toting men and boys with highly trained bird dogs tramped through the farm fields in pursuit of their prey. Subsequent to a successful hunt, wives and mothers canned the birds in quart jars to preserve the meat. During prohibition, roast pheasant under glass became the ultimate in fine dining in Chicago. Consequently, a robust and lucrative market emerged for fresh pheasant, which didn’t subside during the off-season.
Reading the comic strip “True Tales of the Amerikkkan History Part II: The True Thanksgiving” artist Jim Mahfood, examines different views on ethnicity, specifically the differences between American Indians and Whites, through the views of a naïve and native youngster. Mahfood, utilizes a classic nine panel format with “True Tales of the Amerikkkan History Part II: The True Thanksgiving”, which traces the youths discussion about Thanksgiving. This discussion between the white kid and the Native American kid, shows the vast differences between both youths perception of the traditional American holiday. Mahfood’s portrayal of the white kid, as a self-absorbed follower of society and as direct reflection of his apparently, uncompassionate

Good Evening Prof. Ellis, I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Break! I know I enjoyed a nice home cooked meal, however, the reason I am emailing you is to make sure I don 't have my "final grade docked" because I didn 't send in excuses for my absences. I am positive I have missed over three absences, so attached are doctor 's notes for two of the days I missed. I know there is a chance my grade would not have been affected, but I did not want to risk it. Thanks.

Even though relaxation is one of the hardest things to find, it is not impossible. People in the world today are all worried or afraid about something it does not allow them to be relaxed. People are afraid of not being able to make enough money to provide for their family and pay bills. Students in high school are worried about getting good grades and trying to figure out what they are going to do after high school. Worrying about these things and many others is what makes it so hard for people to ever feel a slight bit relaxed.

Also according to The Hormones and Antibiotics in Your Meat 80% of turkey brands are grown with artificial hormones and antibiotics.
The ethical dilemma in this situation is whether to ignore the health of customers by labeling the chicken as “free range” for a 20% increase on the price. The idea of “free range” is to open the door to the hen house for five minutes a day so that the chicken will have access outside of the house. This allows the chicken to exercise and burn off any fat they may have. However, it is stated that very few chickens leave the house therefore the idea of “free range” doesn’t mean anything. This does however allow the company to still label their chicken “free range” which gives misleading information to customers.

Much to my disappointment this never happened at my Thanksgiving dinner. This myth made me wonder how the children who's Thanksgiving did not look even close to the myth. Growing up I always had the basic parts of Thanksgiving, Turkey, parade, and family to celebrate with. I wonder how those children who live in poverty or without family feel about
