The 1903 World Series was one of the greatest world series in MLB history. This game established many new standards in baseball, including the splitting of the league. This game brought up the idea of splitting the league into two different leagues. The names of those league are the American League and the National League. This game created a whole new world for sports in America(1903). The 1903 World Series was played at Huntington Avenue Grounds located in Boston, Massachusetts. This stadium would be holding the first ever world series in MLB history. The capacity of this building was around 11,500 people, which was barely even enough for the World Series(B-R Bullpen). The rules were very limited in this time period because very few knew a lot about the game of baseball. During the world series, umpires discovered that the first baseman for each team could be seriously injured if one of the batters were to slide into the first base bag. This was changed and made into a very strict rule that runners would be automatically out if they were to slide into the first base bag. Umpires also noticed that attitudes were a big problem in the World Series. Players were throwing helmets, gloves, and even bats when they got mad. The league soon made a rule that stated that if anyone threw an object purposely, then they would be ejected immediately(Baseball). Many tourists were at this series, and many wrote articles about the games, spreading the interest in the game all over the world. Many people grew interest into this sport and now is one of the most popular sports. In fact, this made the interest in the game the highest amount of interest in a sport from 1903-1907(B-R Bullpen). The sport of baseball was rapidly growing in America, and even other countries. The sport was played by many states in America, and many other countries. Men from other countries that were good enough to play in the big leagues, came over and played on the team that had interest in them. Fans support their favorite team by watching them on tv and listening to them on the radio. If you're lucky, you can buy some tickets to go see the game in person at the home stadium. Apparel is also an important piece of fan wear these days. Many stores sell shirts with the logo of their team somewhere on the shirt. Some stores even sell jerseys that are copied from your favorite players real jersey that you can purchase(Bizjournals). Spectators love the game so much that it is named the sport of America. World Series are no longer only played in the MLB, but also played in little leagues, high school, and colleges all over the country. The Little League World Series is also a great series to watch, containing teams from all over the world that come to play in America. The College World Series is a much appreciated game also, including teams from all different colleges around the country. In little league, the names of MLB teams are used as team names. If you get lucky enough, you can have the chance to step foot or even play on MLB fields. The National and American league still play each other at the end of every season(Quick). Each team contains the best players from different teams in their division. Teams can decide what division they would like to be a part of at the beginning of every season (B-R
