Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison were all famous musicians during the 1960’s. Jimi had an estate worth $80 million (R993 628 000) and Janis Joplin’s net worth was $5 million at the time of her death. If we had to be completely honest, we would all want to be as famous as these stars, but would we be willing to pay the price?
The ‘27 Club’ or ‘Forever 27 Club’ is a group of celebrities who mysteriously died at the age of 27. All of them were extremely talented and left a mark on the world after their passing, be it good or bad. Like most young celebrities, most of them abused drugs and alcohol, and were all about that ‘live while you’re young’ life. While most people blame their deaths on the party-like lifestyle, the similarities are too unusual to ignore. Besides the obvious fact that they all died at 27, there are other similarities, like the white lighter.

Jimi Hendrix died from a drug overdose alone in his house. Janis Joplin died from a drug overdose, alone in her house. Jim Morrison died of- you guessed it- a drug overdose that wasn’t seen by anybody. There is a long list of celebrities who died from either drugs or suicide with no witnesses, but not all of them are part of the 27 Club. One member of the 27 Club whose death stands out is that of Anton Yelchin, who was famous for his role as Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek series. He died from blunt traumatic asphyxia.
