Now more than ever, changes for the better for the environment are vital as the population exceedingly grows. Water and resources are scarce, leaving millions of people without access to clean water and food. Our air is filled with the same pollution that corrupts our water systems. Forests that provide fresh oxygen and are home to thousands of different animals are being eradicated. In the article, “The 6 most pressing environmental issues—and what you can do to help solve them” Joshua Marks highlights imposing consequences that have arisen from abusing the planet along with simple but impactful solutions. According to Marks, the 6 most threatening environmental issues are climate change, pollution, deforestation, water scarcity, loss of biodiversity, and soil and degradation. Moreover, he offers solutions to these critical dilemmas like replacing carbon-based energy to electric and supporting green-energy organizations and alliances.
