Some people think that bad people will always be bad, or mean people wont change. They’re mistaken. “The Alligators” by John Updide explains how you shouldn't judge somebody because of what other people say. Others suggest that bad can even learn to love. So don’t let people persuade your judgement on someone you’ve never met.
In “The Alligators”, Charlie just wants to fit in. On page 2 it says “What others did because they felt like it, he did out of plan to make himself more popular.” This will support his acts to Joan because he wants to be known doing it. On page 3 it says “He once in awhile drew a picture called Joan The Dope.” This shows how Charlie is trying to be more mean.
