In today's day and age, we live amongst many controversies, this world has many different pressing issues and the ones we focus on may be the true definition of our character. The “American dream” is a phrase that thundered throughout our country many years ago. It gave people the hope that they could do anything and everything they wanted in the land of the free. Although the United States is still the greatest country in the world we have seen many changes that bring up many pressing questions as to whether the country is going downhill or not. It is a very pressing issue that only continues to get worse. This issue is very important to me and is something that I believe is one of the biggest problems we have in this country. It is sad to me that we take for granted how lucky we are to even live in a country where we can work for our own money. We are allowing it to dissipate instead of fighting to make our country a better place. The worst part being it is not just a few people but millions of people in early adulthood and even those who are older. It is arguable that it still may be the biggest but with the lowered production rates and the higher need to rely on foreign interference, we most certainly are not the most productive. The country has slacked off in the standards it holds for the American people and if this mindset continues the United States will become one of the many countries that must rely on others to keep them functioning in proper care. But if we turn ourselves around while we still have the opportunity we can become stronger and more successful than we have ever been in the past. My job and goal are to write many well-informed articles throughout this semester addressing the many different audiences that this subject may entail. I make it a priority to show the American people the importance of my ideas, and once again bring back the American pride that formed this great country so many years
