The phrase “American dream,” in my perspective defines what my hopes and dreams are for my future. Along with other Americans, I believe that the “American dream” is a goal that we all want to work hard to achieve and we always have it in our minds. The “American dream” is a set goal that I want to carry out in my life. My goals are to go to college and move to California. My family also expects me to graduate high school and go to college and find a job that I like. Five years from now I hope to be living in Los Angeles, California, attend the Los Angeles Art Institution and have a job as a chef in the restaurant Patina.

Part of my “American dream” is to move to California. I would like to move to California because I don’t like the cold weather in Minnesota. Thus, if I did move to California I would like to live near the beach because I like the ocean and the warm sunny climate. Additionally, I would preferably like to live in Los Angeles. One of my goals is to go to this University because I aspire to become a professional chef and maybe one day have my own restaurant. Once, I get into this University I am planing to take the six quarter Culinary Arts program which would take me about two years to finish. I want to go to this University because I can get there the international and fundamental skills that I need for the culinary industry and this University is also in Los Angeles which is where I want to live. This is my dream college and it’s one of my goals to attend
