Selena Quintanilla’s greatest contribution were improving the Latin music industry by creating unique Tejano beats and bringing joy to the Latino community with her songs. Selena Quintanilla first started her career at a young age in her father's band “Los Dinos”. Los Dinos performed in a variety of events like weddings and parties. Los Dinos became known around the city , Selena Quintanilla's father dropped Selena out of school to continue to perform with the band.

Selena Quintanilla Perez is a Tex Mex singer. She traveled around the U.S. and Mexico performing. Her fan club president got mad at Selena and decided to kill her. In her memory a statue was built for Selena. Before I explain her monument here is a little background about her life.

Since education provides a broad range of choices for individuals willing to focus and concentrate on their desired careers, Chino works hard in school because he wants to "graduate, get a good job, save money, and buy a house" (Quiñonez 160). The "American Dream" lifestyle is associated with a prosperous and secure financial future. Hence, the objective of Latinos and Puerto Ricans is to dominate Spanish Harlem to amass enough riches and political influence to dominate. But some people feel that living well may be obtained honestly, while others believe that doing whatever it takes to live the life they desire is essential.
Selena Quintanilla had once said, “Never in my dreams would I have thought that I would become this big. I am still freaking out.” Selena was one of the best Mexican-American singers that everyone had loved. (Topic Sentence) How the life began with The Queen of Tejano music. Selena was known for Queen of Tejano music, her music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainer in the late 20th century.
Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was accomplished many things in her life. She was a fashion designer, boutique owner, spokesperson, actress, and probably her most successful endeavor was her music career. Selena was often known as the the Queen of Tejano music. Making herself well known in a genre of music dominated mostly by men. She was arguably one of the most successful women singers to live.
Selena Quintanilla was a very successful “Tex-Mex” singer, who, from the beginning of her life to the end of it, had an extraordinary life. After one time of singing to her father, a band was created and she was put into the singing world. Since that day, many journeys occurred. She has performed in many places like Mexico and Texas. She even got married and won a Grammy.
All of her albums sold out in large numbers, making Selena successful with her music. I look up to Selena Quintanilla-Perez as my role model. It took a lot of hard work and courage for her to become a successful Mexican-American artist. As a Mexican-American woman, she broke barriers and made recording history with her music. She changed Latino music by combining different genres in her music to connect with other cultures besides her own.
Many immigrants traveled under desperate situations to pursue the American dream. Many authors try to capture those experiences for native born Americans to understand. In the novel My Antonia by Willa Cather, Antonia, a Bohemian immigrant, has to work her way through the American life. Antonia and her family came to America with next to nothing. They didn’t know the language which left them more susceptible to lies.
The American dream, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is a happy way of living that is thought of by many Americans as something that can be achieved by anyone in the U.S. especially by working hard and becoming successful. The passage sees Richard Rodriguez describing a past Christmas experience. Rodriguez uses language and details about his siblings, parents, and himself to suggest the American dream of material success. Mendez realized this during his time growing up under his father’s view of the American Dream and later on his own developing opinion of what that phrase represented.
