The American dream is not as easy as people say it is. The American Dream is being able to afford the necessities you need, without having to struggle and suffer just to put food on a table for their families. People think it’s easy to live the American Dream, but little do they know that there are people out there struggling to support their family. The American Dream is difficult to achieve but very possible if people could find the opportunity and available to them.
Disparity in the Dream “Americans have so far put up with inequality because they felt they could change their status. They didn't mind others being rich, as long as they had a path to move up as well. The American Dream is all about social mobility in a sense - the idea that anyone can make it” (Fareed Zakaria). The American Dream, to many Americans, is the notion of going from thousandaire to millionaire.
The American Dream is unachievable in the United States because no matter how hard one works or how hard one tries to save money, the American Dream is simply not accessible to those that begin with nothing. The American Dream never did exist for one group of Americans- the poor and homeless. (Document D) The American Dream is not achievable if one is already poor since they do not have anything to start them off.

In America, there is a goal called “The American Dream”. This goal consists of living a life of comfort no matter what life you were born into. Exact definitions vary between each person because it is based on an individual, however most, if not all, include the ability to reach mobility and achievement no matter what social class one was born into. Money is clearly important for survival and it does keep people happy. The question most people formulate, however, is if it is actually possible for one who was born into poverty to actually be able to live a comfortable adult life with a stable income.

The most common and typical American Dream is the dream of being super successful and wealthy. It’s been a common belief for many years that when you come to America you can get rich very easily and do anything you want. Even though most people have a lot better opportunities in America then their home countries, getting rich and famous is still pretty challenging for most people. Their are a few people that actually became rich and famous from coming to America, but its very few compared to those who don’t become rich and famous. Most people who come to the U.S. do not become rich but they do become more wealthy then they were in their home countries because of how poor some of the other countries are compared to America.
