An apology is only a compile of words, it’s the actions that define the sincerity. It has often been told that an apology is necessary once a sin has been committed but an apology is only the following consequences from a caught failure. It is forced upon punishment and it is a scheme made to cover up the lack of guilt or regret. Apologies are also seen as forgiveness however it only satisfies society’s regulations. Apologies ‘fix’ the order in humanity but the broken can not always be repaired, especially when the transgressor is lying through a mask. If an apology is only satisfying society's needs then an apology is not necessary to begin with.

Most often this case occurs in the false mannerism of popular celebrities because they become a centered spotlight of shame. Now many are more concerned about the title the media announces rather than the lives they have impacted. Celebrities should not have to apologize if it only means to fix their reputation. The lack of remorse makes the entire apology insignificant. An example from the text is Paula Deen’s apology tape. “She apologized and begged for forgiveness in the first clip, but then pulled that one and uploaded another seemingly self produced video to Youtube. The problem was that the second apology tape wasn't any better, meaning the world was so distracted by the inefficacy of her public apology skills that no one could even focus on whether she was actually making any salient statements.” If celebrities like Paula Deen were to receive forgiveness yet continue to sin they are just hurting themselves and diminishing their career through dishonesty. There is no value in apologizing if the transgressor continues to sin. The inefficiency of the first apology does not disregard their
