Introduction The Aztecs were one of the most important and modern civilizations. They started their civilization in Modern day Mexico city, the civilization started in 1350 CE and ended in 1529 CE. The Aztecs are known for their incredible architecture, art, and engineering. In this population of 300,000 they believed in multiple gods. They would make sacrifices to their gods. The Aztecs built their culture around human sacrifice. Human sacrifice was an everyday practice. They would use human sacrifice to worship their gods. The Aztec civilization had geography that all had a purpose. For example, there were shallow lakes, mountains, and the chinampas, these all had purposes for their daily lives. “Aztec agriculture in the heart of the empire used chinampas for their crops. Chinampa is a method of farming that uses small, rectangular areas to grow crops on the shallow lake beds in the Mexican valley. Chinampas were essentially artificial islands created for the crops”. This piece of evidence is important because it states that agriculture was used for their daily lives and the unique ways they farmed and their techniques that they used.
