I am seeking a career in the cosmetic field as a “beauty bar” owner and operator. Beauty Bar Defined Over the past few year beauty bars are popping up in big cities from New York, Los Angeles, Texas, and Chicago. These bars offer services from professional makeup artists and licensed cosmetologist. For $50.00 a client can received a full face of makeup. This also includes eyebrow arch, and lash extensions. Advertising is the most common and effective way of recruiting. Today, advertising is not only done in newspapers, television or flyers, but social media has become a huge outlet for hiring the right candidate. Advertising what the job and qualifications are will eliminate those that are not qualified for the job. Job fairs and career fairs have also become common in recruiting. I have learned that job fairs not only allow the employers to meet the potential employee firsthand but it is great source for networking. Job fairs also eliminate those that are not qualified and they allow you to communicate with the potential client. Advertising a job fair shows how both forms of recruiting complement each other.
