The following response will look at the different origin beliefs and look the topic of fossils of animals to see how it compares to the different beliefs.

Origin Beliefs

Atheistic evolutionist
The most popular theory of our universe's origin dated back to abound 11 to 15 billion years ago where a massive explosion allowed all the universe's known matter, energy, space and time came into being (known as the Big Bang). Before the Big Bang, scientists believe that the universe was very hot, small and infinitely dense with no stars, atoms, form, or structure. Then, the Universe began to expand and cool down at an incredible rate, which caused matter to coalesce into gas clouds, and then stars and planets. Biblical creationists believe that the story told in Genesis of God’s six-day creation of all things is correct. The Genesis story confirms that God created the heavens and the earth as well as light (day) and dark (night) on the first day. On the second and third dust land, sky, vegetation and seas. The sun, moon and stars (also creating seasons, days, and years) was created on the forth day. On day five and six life was created. This is because the fossils do not show a gradual and smooth change of one species changing into another, these are know as the 'gaps' in the fossil record. Evolutionists state that the fossils record should have an enormous number of transitional fossils between species. Yet the actual fossil record contains huge gaps with no known transitional fossil in many cases. Furthermore, nobody had actually seen a new species evolve. Not only that but evolutionists cannot point to any transitional fossils. Evolution claim that the Archaeopteryx is an example of a transitional fossil as it combines feathers and skeletal structures of birds to the features of dinosaurs.
