Symbolism was everywhere in this movie. It went from camera angles to actual objects. The symbol that stuck out most to me was the wings. It was referenced through the whole movie and ended up being probably the most important symbol of them all. This symbol you could say saved his life. At the beginning of the movie the viewer will most likely be confused on why we are watching from a box’s point of view. It is significant without the viewer even knowing it. The box is dropped off at a house in the middle of nowhere and the receiver knows the package is from Russia. He has a girlfriend that lives there and is trying to make it to America. He didn’t know how to communicate with others very well because he had been without it for so long. He was still determined to deliver the box but didn’t know how. He still had not opened it because that would ruin the complete 5 years he saved it for. He followed the address on the box, but when he arrived on the farm no one was home. He left the box on the porch of the farmhouse and left a note that stated “This box saved my life.” He was leaving the farm and was headed back to his home. He then spotted a truck and the lady stopped to ask if he was lost and he said no. He had a map and needed no help to get back to where he came from. The lady told him to be careful and have a safe trip back to where ever he came from. The lady drove off and he noticed a familiar picture on the back of her truck. It was the wings he had drawn everywhere on the island and the one that was on the box. He then stepped out in the road and was deciding which road to take back. The camera then spun around him and showed him staring into the direction the lady was headed. You could tell this because the road behind him did not have a truck going down it. The screen faded which showed that he was choosing to go to
