I strongly believe "The Black Ball" written by Ralph Ellison has stood the test of time. The timeless style is the discrimination and challenges the main character faced. Despite the struggles, the main character keeps pushing to pursue his dream(enrolling in school and taking care of his son). Many people have experienced challenges. Take example, Helen Keller. Helen Keller was an American author, political activist, and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree. After hundreds of attempts trying to find the perfect instructor for Helen, Helen's mom was about to give up. Despite the failure, she eventually found Anne Sullivan, who'm became a lifelong companion of Helen Keller and taught her how to communicate.
