\ The Boy in the Striped Pajamas By John Boyne is one of those books that are amazing and is something that you will not forget. It’s filled with so many unforgettable characters, that all have different personalities. The novel can also make you so emotional for some of the characters, even if they're not even real. I will be talking about 3 of the main characters that made big differences in the story. Bruno is the protagonists of the book. He is a curious kid and always seems to get himself in trouble. He loves to explore around his old house in Berlin, and always tries to be honest with himself whenever he can. Though being the youngest kid in the family, Bruno makes sure his voice is understood and will argue anyone, even if they are older than him. At the beginning of the story, Bruno displays himself as a kid who loves to explore and complaint anything he dislikes including his sister Gretel (also known as the hopeless case). Yet near the Bruno puts his friendship with Shmuel first, and makes sure he finds his family even in the end they couldn’t. Bruno doesn’t care what Shmuel believes or where is from. He cares that he's a boy and that they have the same birthday of course. The story is told in Bruno perspective, which makes the …show more content…

From the description, we were given Shmuel is Jewish and was forced to move away from his family, and alone in the Out-with camp. Shmuel is treated disrespectfully, as he always seems to get a bruise. Before Shmuel was ever introduced, the story wasn't as sad or gloomy as it is now. When Bruno met Shmuel, Bruno didn't hesitate to be Shmuel, as he didn't care where Shmuel was from. Shmuel was described as a lonely boy, but his friend luckily changes the world that surrounds him. Their friendship was so strong it lasted until the end. I don't know any people in real life who have such a strong friendship like Shmuel and
