The book Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis.The theme is women should have as many equal rights as men do.To start off,the taliban took over Kabul,Afghanistan in 1996-2001. Then,Parvana is very brave and supportful for her family and others.Next,Nooria is sour to her sister Parvana but then she can be sweet all at the same time.Then,the mother is a strong women that will take any risk for her family even to get her husband out of jail even if it means sacrificing her own life.Most importantly,Ms.Warria and her grandchild are brave enough to leave there home so that then can help as much as they can with what Parvana’s family is going through. 136 “We can’t leave Kabul!” Parvana exclaimed ”what about father?What will happen if he gets out of prison and we’re not here? He won’t know where to look for us!”To start with,It was the right choice for Parvana to stay and wait for her father to arrive this shows that Parvana wasn’t gonna give up on her father something important to her.According to the article, “Throughout the changing political landscape of Afghanistan in the last fifty years, women's rights have been exploited by different groups for political gain, sometimes being improved but often being abused.”Next,this is explaining that the women in Kabul could’ve fled their country a long time ago but no they stood their ground for their country even if it means getting abused.Another quote from the article, “The changing political landscape of Afghanistan in the last fifty years, women's rights have been exploited by different groups for political gain, sometimes being improved but often being abused.”Last,this relates to the theme because even though women can’t really do anything cause they are women/girls but the taliban don’t kill women and girls they just abuse them because if they don’t have any women there will be no more children being born, that would mean the end of the taliban army.The women are stronger than the men on the inside because they are taking care of their children and they aren’t
