It has the element of form by the way that Michelangelo's David because his body is three-dimensional. He has arms and legs and how they are proportion it gives it its form. It has the element of balance similar to Donatello's David as his whole body is made out of marble. Michelangelo's David has balance all around his body from the bottom of his feet to the top curly hair in his head. His balance of how each part of his body makes him look strong, muscular and brave including the seriousness and focus in his facial expression. Michelangelo's David has emphasis from every curly, wavy hair on his head from the clinch look on his hand from holding the stones and the detail of the slingshot.
