The case of the kidnapping and murder of Charles Augustus Lindbergh’s first baby is one of the greatest mysteries in the history of the United States. Young Charles was abducted straight from the nursery room in the Lindbergh household. Ransom was demanded, and the case was opened. The verdict determined that Bruno Richard Hauptmann was guilty of murder. It is evident that the man didn’t act alone, and clearly has an accomplice.

First of all, Bruno Richard Hauptmann had part of the ransom money. The Suspect Sheets, states that “By late summer some of the bills began showing up in New York. He had to have been working with accomplices and one of his accomplices was John Knoll. John Knoll was a German immigrant who worked as a Deli Clerk. According to the documentary, Robert Zorn’s dad was a 15-year-old man growing up in a German neighborhood. John Knoll lived very near to him and one day Robert Zorn’s dad heard John Knoll talking with two other men at an amusement park. One of the men he was talking to was his younger brother Walter, and the other man he was talking to was someone named Bruno. This could have been any Bruno but this specific Bruno had a German accent which Bruno Richard Hauptmann had as well since he was from Germany and Robert Zorn’s dad also overheard them talking about a place called Englewood. Englewood is where the kidnapping happened and where the Lindbergh Household was. This proves that John Knoll had to be probably somehow related to the murder. According to the documentary, the police told John Condon to describe what Cemetery John looked like. John Condon was an old man who wanted to help Charles Lindbergh find his baby. He also was the person that gave the ransom money. The person who collected the ransom money called himself Cemetery John. John Knoll also had John as his first name so this could mean that Cemetery John was John Knoll but if that wasn’t enough already, the picture that the police made through John Condon’s description of Cemetery John was a spitting image of John
