The Casey Anthony case was a massive case that took place in Florida. Casey Anthony was accused of killing her 2 year old daughter Caylee Anthony. The Prosecution had a great amount of evidence to accuse Casey but the defense was able to hold strong. Casey was not charged for first-degree murder but was found not guilty and instead charged for lying to the officials. This case got so much attention from the public because most believed Casey Anthony should have been charged as guilty. In an interview with Casey Anthony after she gets out of jail, Anthony talks about how she doesn’t care what people think of her and don’t care if people think of her as a murderer. The Defense was very successful especially since they had very little evidence to prove their points. The defense used the fact that Casey can’t be charged if there is any reasonable doubt at all to help prove to the jurors that she wasn’t guilty.

Because this case received so much attention the trial took place in Clearwater Florida instead of Orlando, in hopes of finding an unbiased jury. The prosecution saw Casey Anthony as a promiscuous party girl. She seemed to be untroubled that her daughter was missing and that she was being accused of the murder. According to testimony, Anthony was not frantically looking for her child and instead out partying at night clubs and shopping. She even got a tattoo saying “bella vita” meaning “beautiful life.” Prosecutors argued that Casey sacrificed her daughter so she can party.
