Illegal immigration and refugee are the biggest problem that facing by most of the country. Illegal immigrants are people who migrate across national borders without complying with the legal requirements. The refugee are the other problem facing by the countries as well. Refugees by definition are victims of human rights violations. This two issue related with politic, social and economic issue. When one country facing the economic and politic problem it will lead to the social problem toward the country and other neighbour country.
The amount of illegal immigration tend to increase year by year. From the Malaysian Minister of Human Resources Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem claimed that there are 4.5 million illegal immigrants out of the total 6.7 million foreign workers in Malaysia (Irsyad, 2014). For the amount of refugee according to UNHCR organization, as of end February 2016, there are some 158,510 refugees and asylum-seekers registered with UNHCR in Malaysia with about 145,000 of them from Myanmar. There are another 14,120 refugees and asylum-seekers from other countries, including from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Somalia, Syrian, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine and Iran (C, 2016). From here we can see the amount of refugee and illegal immigration people increase year by year. So, what the causes of all this amount to increase?
