The reformation started due to a man named Martin Luther who at the age of 21 instead of becoming a lawyer decided to become a monk. This decision made him rebel and the Reformation took place, in the 16th century.
As time passed his intellectual, religious, political, and cultural beliefs were at a constant doubt, Luther kept questioning if had made enough for God? As the time had passed he was despised with the Catholic Church blaming them that they had lost their ways after seeing that the Catholic Church had starter. After Luther lead the Reformation in Germany, other like John Calvin and Henry VIII also challenged pope’s authority and stated to questioned the Catholic ability to define the Christian practice.
