The Central Park Five is a documentary about five teenagers who were wrongfully convicted of raping a woman in Central Park, in 1989. Interviewing all five teenagers of after the fact when they have been released from prison and acquitted of the crime due to DNA evidence, it looks at the details of the case and how they had been wrongfully convicted. Because of the cruelty of the crime, the case was very popular and being talked about on all the news outlets. With the popularity, the police officers did what they could to get confessions from the boys, which led to their false confessions of guilt. Even without DNA evidence placing them at the crime, the confessions were strong enough by themselves to give them a guilty verdict.
