After taking a couple steps behind Dublin Castle we found the small museum, named The Chester Beatty Library. As we entered, we were greeted by a very cheerful desk guard. He was happy to give us a quick overview of the layout of the museum and how best to tour it. We followed his directions as we were on our own, without a tour guide. He recommended that we start our tour with a short 10 minute video, detailing the life of Alfred Chester Beatty and how he obtained his collection, that we would later view. He then recommended going straight to the top floor of the library and working our way down. This floor had many texts and religious artifacts from all the major religions. We found the history rich content to be very interesting, and it was spectacular to think that one man collected all of these amazing pieces. It contained pieces that ranged from Buddhism to Catholicism, and touched on both Hebrew and Muslim, as well. The grand display that was offered, provided a great insight as to the differences in the different parts of the world. Each religion that was on display offered examples of their religious texts, in either very ancient books or scrolls. One of the most interesting pieces on display on this floors was pages from the bible that was inscribed onto papyrus. These very old pieces of text were only single pages, some in very rough condition due to their very old age. We thought that the contents of this floor were more interesting than the other three floors, as it contained many pieces from various locations on
