Introduction This story is about the boy who falls in love with his friend 's sister. The name of his friend was Mangan. Sometimes, Mangan 's sister comes out on the doorstep in order to call his brother for the tea. During it, the boy watches her standing. This is the way how the boy falls in love with her. After that, the boy starts thinking about her all the time. One day, when the girl asked whether he is going to Araby, he says he will bring some gift for her from Araby if he goes there. Somehow, he convinced his uncle to go to the Araby on Saturday. When she came out of the doorstep the boy ran to the hall, seized books and followed her. He walks quickly and passed by her (Joyce, n. d., para. 4). One day the girl spoke to him and asked whether he is going to Araby, the boy was so confused what to answer. He says, he will bring something to her if he goes to the Araby (Joyce, n. d., para. 5). However, the boy convinced the uncle to go to the bazaar and finally got the permission. The boy was so eager to visit Araby and to get her something. Finally, the Saturday evening came but the uncle was late to arrive home on that day. When the uncle arrives, the boy reminds him for his wish regarding the bazaar and ultimately the uncle gave him some money.
