Looking back on the Cold War, the American society will view the antagonist as the Soviet Union and the protagonist as the United States. However, the author of this article, Sergei Khrushchev, holds a completely different view from his experience of the Cold War during his childhood. The Cold War was filled with devastating nuclear weapons which destroyed millions of people and their homes.
