I chose Karl Marx because his famous and influential ideas have started revolutions and inspired leaders. In this paper I will be talking about his time as a newspaper writer, his inspiring literature, and his communist ideas. Karl Marx was born into a Jewish family on May 5, 1818, in Trier, Germany with a lawyer father and a barely literate mother with 8 siblings. He was taught privately until he enrolled at Germany’s Bonn University in 1830, where his interest in philosophy and literature was sparked. After his father suddenly died, Marx began writing to help support his family. In 1842, Marx got a job with a newspaper company where he wrote a scathing article about the Russian monarchy, which subsequently shut down the entire newspaper. He then moved to Paris, where he became the co-editor of a new radical newspaper, Deutsch-Franz Sische Jahrb Cher. This newspaper was banned in so many states, because of its political views; therefore, it was shut down, and Marx was expelled from Paris in 1844. …show more content…

Marx wrote many famous books showing his communist views such as: The Communist Manifesto (1848), The Poverty of Philosophy (1847), and The German Ideology (18xx). His work The Communist Manifesto was commissioned by the League. Some believe Marx’s The Communist Manifesto was a main contributor to the French Revolution. The Communist Manifesto encouraged the elimination of a capitalist society. Marx wanted to instate a socialist society. He wanted to organize a working class revolution, but in order to do that he had to make his group more well known and respected.
