Assumptions Are So 1780’s September 17th, 1787 changed the history of the United States of America forever. After month long deliberations the framers, and several other delegates got together to establish a government to benefit most of the states, and its people. As of today America has come quite a long way in terms of sociable acceptable norms. Although the Constitution worked for several years is it still working in the father of the people in today's society? If not, how long has it been failing the citizens it has been governing? The answer is simple for years. However, to answer this question one would simply have to understand the Constitution in several different aspects. If one was to start changing the constitution the words would become unimportant, breakable and biased. With the words of the Constitution written so long ago, there is no chance that they can be used against a person for a certain reason. The people who wrote these rules of the road are long gone allowing citizens now to have nothing but trail like the person before them. Do you really want someone who doesn't have the same values as you inpower to change the words we have all lived by for so long? With originalism, there is no way that one person can have a different set of standards to live up to. Originalism being in place, there is no room for interpretation the Constitution as you please, there is a set we are held to, and should be able to stay that way.
