This is seen in the proposed Adani Carmichael Coal Mine, proposed for the Galilee Basin. Adani is an Indian mining and energy company looking to build one of the largest coal mines in Central Queensland’s Galilee Basin. Adani is in light to being one of the most controversial mining companies in the world. The mine is expected to yield 60 million tonnes per annum, with six open cut pits, five underground mines, coal handling and processing plant, various water supply infrastructure and 189 kilometres of rail line as well we off-site infrastructure for employees it is set to take a vast area of land and work. Due to its enormous scale, it is estimated to produce 4.7 billion tonnes of greenhouse emissions contributing to the Great Barrier Reef Area, endanger wildlife, pollute groundwater and their ecosystems. With grave concern for all stakeholders and associated environmental concerns, the mine was approved with 36 conditions. Whether the conditions are followed is the biggest question and whether the conditions outweigh the negative impacts and enough to reduce the negative impacts. Few of the conditions
