How would you feel if you had the obligation of saving your friends are facing the consequences? Well, I’ll confess to you how I felt in this conundrum. It all started out on a Saturday with my cousins, Ayah, Basmallah, and me, going on a vacation in Stockton, California. We were all very agitated and we felt as if the plane was taking forever, so we settled on exploring the airport. We entered an inexplicable gift shop that had this mystifying-looking mirror. The storekeeper walked up to us and said, “This is an enchanting mirror as it can take you anywhere you wish.” Surprised and curious, all three of us looked around, it looked like a typical mirror. At first, we were both mystified until we both decided on the idea of shining the light under the door. It was then 8:20 and it was almost time to go back home so it was our last chance, so we went with it. I got the flashlight and shined it. We were captivated when the people inside opened the door and saw Basmallah. The man looked at us and asked, “who are you?” I answered, I am Retaj and this is ayah.” After I answered the man looked at us peculiarly. While he talked to the other man that looked quite familiar, I noticed Basmallah moving her hands in a way that I understood gift shop. Instantly, Ayah shouted, “Mike, Master Mike, the owner of the gift shop!” The man who we now knew was mike was startled and amazed. “How did you know it was me?” He questioned. Ayah took the lead and took out the two notes that she had found that day and handed them over to him. He was appalled and said to the man who was with him that’s where it went. “I must’ve dropped it at the airport!” I went ahead and helped Basmallah and then she told me our bags are here, but they must take something in return.
