The Cretaceous Period was the third period in the Mesozoic Era, this period lasted for about 145-65 million years. This period was known as the last age of dinosaurs.
During the Cretaceous Period the first Ceratopsian appeared and so did the first Pachycepalosaurid dinosaurs appeared. Also, the Pangaea was starting to disperse more and that caused some regional differences with climate between northern and southern continents.
Wild Life during this time was not really different from the Jurassic Period, but many life forms that would become an important role in the Cenozoic Era appeared.
Terrestrial life started to come around flowering plants called Anthophyta, they first appeared during the early Cretaceous Period.
