Now lets see how a mere village girl completely changed a whole town. There is much controversy regarding Abigail Williams, and her true intentions behind her Salem Witch Trial accusations. She could have simply denied that she never met up with John Proctor and all would have been fine for her, yet she withstood. Abigail initially stated that she wanted to be embraced by the light of God and the Love of Jesus yet that diary found in her room exists, along with Mary Warren contradicting Abigail and her refusal to deny John Proctor's confession; and all for what? Over 25 people have been sentenced to death due to her accusations. Is Abigail Williams truly afflicted by spirits and wanting to seek the light of God by pointing out the so-called witches?
