1.) Vita lives with her mom, Marlowe, her cat, and the Keatses in an apartment building. Her dad left when she was young, and had never come back. Vita also had a dog called Argus , who died, and a cat called Marlowe.
2.) Vita 's three wishes were that she wants to get the role of Helen, she wants her father to be back, and she hopes that Old Farfel is leaving.
3.) Vita got the role of Helen but she felt bad when Helen McGuire got a chicken pox. The wish of Old Farfel leaving also came true when Vita 's mom said Old Farfel wasn 't what she wanted. However, the wish of hoping her father would come back didn 't come true.
4.) Vita stated, "I hate Helen. That 's all I can say" (Kaufman 106). "I don 't like to be around when he 's over," these quotes suggest that Vita has a strong feeling …show more content…

5.) Vita is waiting desperately for her father to come back home but he never did. She once felt that he would return home when she was young, but she decided to let go of the thought that he would return at the end of the story. This draws to a conclusion that Vita doesn 't believe he would come back anymore. Her thoughts and statements about her father reveals that she really loves her father. Vita wrote letters to her dad, she wish that he would come back home, and she was glad that Old Farfel wasn 't what Mom wanted. These are all evidences of Vita expressing her love towards her father.
6.) Vita 's triumphs were that she got the role of Helen and Old Farfel left. Her loss was that her father didn 't return home nor visit her during the day of the play. I think the loss was more important to her, because it made her realized that it 's time to let go of her father that he wouldn 't return.
7.) The theme of this story is that sometimes you have to let go some things that will never come back again. The truth is, even if Vita choose to believe that her father will return or pray for his return, he will not come back. Therefore, she have to let it go, be independent, and
