While reading The Crucible, there was an obvious spooky, somber feeling throughout the text. The same vibe was caught off the movie version displayed in class and the play interpreted at Corona del Sol High School. Although, the backdrop during the performance was made up of colors of the sun setting, which does not exactly scream “Dismal!” The scenes in the movie, on the contrary, did by the clothes worn by the characters and the weather. Secondly, during the reading, Abigail was pictured more as the girl who played her at Corona, over the movie actress (nothing against Winona Ryder). Also, the opening scene was more similarly represented in the play, than the movie. In the production at Corona, the opening scene was the same as Act 1 Scene
