According to the Forbes (2017) article, Southwest Airlines “has long been lauded for its strong workplace culture and engaged workforce” (Pg1). The airline shares profits with its employees which motivates them to think like owners of the company (Forbes, 2017). The culture at Southwest Airlines is employees first, customers come second and shareholders fall in thereafter. The airline expresses the focus of valued employees would result in excellent customer services (Business insider, 2015). Southwest airlines seek employees with positive attitudes and the ability to be supportive to their colleagues in an uplifting manner, that promotes employee success (Business insider, 2015).
