“Stability is Possible” In The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon, Christopher John Francis Boone is introduced as a character with Asperger’s. His main caretakers are his father, Ed, and his mother, Judy. Christopher’s relationships with his parents are clearly dysfunctional at the beginning of the book but towards the novel’s end we see Judy and Ed’s love for their son push them to want to overcome the mistakes they have all made, leading the Boone family to eventual stability.

The protagonist, Christopher, is described to be suffering with a form of autism, Asperger’s syndrome. Asperger’s syndrome is not considered to be a diagnosis on its own, however, it’s part of a broader category called autism spectrum disorder (ASD) (Bhandari, 2016). Throughout the novel, numerous events are depicted that prompts readers to grasp the normalities of Asperger’s syndrome, many of which dawn from the common symptoms.

Coming of age Is there a moment that you can remember when you felt like you grew up? Coming of age is when a person has grown up and reached adulthood. The two coming-of-age components I am providing are experiencing loss and parents' perception. The texts I will be using are The curious incident of the Dog in the Night-Time written by Mark Haddon, the main character is a teenager named Christopher who experiences the perception of parents component. The short story I chose is called The Scarlet Ibis it is about a boy and his brother Doodle the boy experiences experiencing loss component.
Character is the thing that defines a person. What you will do, what you will say, how you interact with the world. Admittedly, all of us have character. But, the character of Christopher is a very interesting and a complex one. In times, it feels as if he is an alien compared to everyone else.

The novel is an autobiographical murder mystery narrated from the perspective of a teenager, Christopher Boone. This text allows the readers to see the life of a young man who is not comfortable with interacting with others in his society. Christopher's autism spectrum disorder (ASD) shapes our understanding of experience. Haddon is able to portray interesting ideas within the text through the narrator, thus inviting us into a different world and allowing us to see a new viewpoint.

Avoidance In the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon, Christopher is stunned about the truth about his mother and refuses to acknowledge the facts. People try to avoid the truth of unwanted information about themselves for numerous reasons like having to change their beliefs, the lack of control, and a cause of unpleasant emotions. People try to avoid the truth about themselves because they fear that they would have to change their beliefs. Subconsciously humans always try to seek information that prove and confirm their beliefs and do not look for answers that disprove them.
The dad is a vivid and mildly person who loves his son. They both live in a huge house for which they are reprieve. Christopher does not live with her mom as she passed away two years ago because she had a heart attack. Christopher has a friend name Siobhan, she is amusing and deftly working and helping girl. Around Christopher’s house there are many people living example Mrs. Shears, Mr& Mrs Alexander and some strangers.
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time can be seen as a Bildungsroman, which is also known as a coming of age novel. Christopher the main character undergoes many challenges, steps outside of his comfort zone, and adapts to the “adult” world. Christopher has a mental illness known as Aspergers which affects his ability to effectively socialize and communicate with others. In the novel he begins to learn about the real world and grows throughout finding out who killed a dog named Wellington.
Individuals often face many challenges and obstacles in life, as they may not conform to mainstream society. In the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night-time, Mark Haddon’s unique characterisation of the protagonist Christopher, whom Christopher 's ideal world is one in which everyone thinks the same way he does; logically and not using intuition and feelings. He points out flaws in humans ' natural way of thinking, and therefore questions what people think is the correct way to approach a situation.

Curious incident of the dog in the night time On Monday 16th of May 2016 I went to the Gielgud theatre as a class to watch the play; A Curious Incident Of Dog In The Night-Time. The play is about a boy named Christopher who was in the autistic end of the spectrum and this meant that he was really good at one thing, in his case, Maths, however he was not a social character in the sense that he could not communicate with other people in the proper manner and also that he is unable confined to his own space and only goes to places he regularly visits. This meant that as he went off to find his mum, who left because she was having an affair, this leads to him having many problems on the journey there.
